Therapy/Intervention
Triple Thread Learning specializes in providing one-on-one and small group therapy and reading/language instruction for people with a dyslexic profile. We are able to provide services for students aged 4 years to adult. Our approach is tailored to meet the needs of each individual student through research-based multisensory, systematic instruction based on the Orton-Gillingham/MSL approach. When we initially meet with you and your child we gather background information and conduct a range of diagnostic assessments in order to understand the learning needs of your child and devise a personalised approach to their intervention. We provide a comprehensive report with strategies that can be used at home and your child’s school. We are able to provide therapy at your child’s school, your home or our space.
Professional Learning For Educators
For Educators: We are able to tailor professional learning to cater to the needs of your school. We offer after-school workshops to fit in with staff meetings or whole days for professional learning. The range of our courses includes:
- General dyslexia awareness
- Inclusive strategies
- How children learn to read and how to provide evidence-based instruction and intervention
- Phonological awareness
- Spelling
- Vocabulary
For parents:
We offer a range of different workshops including:
- Advocacy
- Preparing your child for primary school
- Preparing for high school
- Strategies to support your child with homework, study and organisation
Enrichment
We offer a range of workshops after school during the school term and in school holidays. These will include:
- Talk for writing workshops
- Pre-reading skills for preschoolers
- Drama
- Understanding myself as a learner (how my brain works and how to organise myself and use technology to learn)
- Essay writing
